Renewables Terms of Reference

TERMS OF REFERENCE

General

To keep abreast of policy and other developments in energy renewables which have significance, whether good or bad, for nature conservation and the countryside in Northern Ireland and to consult and inform the full Council as appropriate on these matters.

Specific

• Keep abreast of developments in policy, research and practice in the fields of renewable energy generation and supply.
• Keep CNCC informed of any developments or issues which may affect countryside or nature conservation issues in Northern Ireland.
• Revise, as necessary, the CNCC policy document on energy renewables and produce others as requested.
• Establish and maintain contacts with other interest groups through meetings and attendance at relevant conferences.
