Working Groups

The Council established six Working Groups to consider a more detailed analysis and assessment of the state of our environment. In some instances this has resulted in the preparation of position statements.

The Working Groups and their Chairs are:

Agri-Environment - Chair: Brian Murphy

Marine and Coastal - Chair: John Anderson

Ecosystems and Designations - Chair: Pat Cregg

Renewables and Waste - Chair: Dermot Hughes

Planning and Landscape - Chair: Jim Jackson

Access and Amenity - Chair: Mervyn Hill

Groups can consist of members, co-opted members, NIEA, PEPG and DARD representatives.

In addition to these groups, the remit of Council means that it will give advice on environmental issues over a broad spectrum of government and will be involved in many other working groups. For details of the CNCC members on these groups click on Representatives on Other Bodies
